DEAR SUN SPOTS: I’m a physical education teacher at Mountain Valley Middle School in Mexico and am looking for an adult tricycle to use for students who are not ready to ride a two-wheel bike. If you have one and would like to donate it to our program, that would be great. If you are reading this and you or an organization would like to donate money to purchase one for us that would be appreciated. You can reach me at Kcrutchfield@rsu10.org. Thank you.

DEAR SUN SPOTS: The Leeds Community Church Deacons want to thank Sun Spots for helping us get the word out about our clothing center. We have seen a lot of new people since our information was in the column.
We are having another $2 bag sale on Oct. 27 from 9 to 11 a.m. Our address is 123 Church Hill Road in Leeds and we are located in a large yellow building down the hill from the church. We have lots of Halloween costumes, new sweaters, pajamas, and size X and XX clothes for women and men. There are also Christmas decorations on the second floor. We hope to see everyone there.

DEAR SUN SPOTS: Are you a POW or MIA Veteran? Your participation is needed in the 15th Annual Veterans Day Community Prayer Service. Specifically, we need volunteers to carry and escort the POW/MIA flag. This community-wide, non-denominational event will be held on Nov. 12 at Holy Family Church, 607 Sabattus St., Lewiston at 6:30 p.m. If you can join us, please contact Anne at 207-576-6915.

ANSWER: This is a meaningful, healing service that can be attended by all. Please contact Anne if you are able to escort or carry the flag.
DEAR SUN SPOTS: The Temple Historical Society was recently given a box of photos that were found when a local family was going through items in storage. While going through the box, I discovered a baby book with a birth certificate for Ervin Joseph Blanchette, born March 29, 1954. The parents’ names are Maurice and Hilma Blanchette of Oak Street in Oakland. There are many other photos dating back from the 1930s through the 1950s. I would love to get these treasures to family members. If this relates to your family, please call me at 207-778-0837 or email betsyag74@gmail.com.

ANSWER: This is a treasure! You may want to write to the Morning Sentinel at 31 Front St., Waterville, ME 04901 or contact the Oakland Historical Society, and I see that they have a presence on Facebook at Oakland (Maine) Area Historical Society. Let me know if you need help posting a message to them and I will help you with that.
DEAR SUN SPOTS: Here are a couple of places where the person looking for prime rib dinners (Sept. 20 Sun Spots) can go: Camp Fire Grille at 518 Portland Road and Punkin Valley Restaurant & Motel at 1270 N. High St., Route 302 in Bridgton. Thank you for helping so many of us.

ANSWER: I’m going to head that way and check out one of these places. I love Bridgton and it’s such a beautiful time of year to go for a drive. Thanks for the tip!
