Donations sought to fill stockings
AUBURN —Bolster Heights Residential Care Facility is in need of donations to fill Christmas stockings for 84 residents.
Examples of donations would be unopened and unexpired snack items, cans or bottles of soda, soft candies, shampoo, conditioner, body wash, lotions, bars of soap, individual manicure kits, large-print word search or crossword puzzle books, adult coloring books, colored pencils, markers and card games. Unused Christmas stockings are also sought.
Donations may be dropped off at Bolster Heights Residential Care Facility, 26 Bolster St. Include your name and address with your donations.

AMS Green Closet seeks donations
AUBURN — The Green Closet at the Auburn Middle School is seeking coats, hats, mittens, boots, socks blankets and warm, gently used clothing to be distributed to those in need at the school and for Auburn and Lewiston homeless shelters.
To donate, drop off items at 66 Gamage Ave. in Auburn in the back side of the house on Hillcrest Street, the yellow house with green trim.

Produce Safety Alliance Grower training
Two training sessions required for all covered produce growers, and recommended for all produce growers of all sizes, will be held in Lisbon and Unity.
The Lisbon session is Nov. 30, 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. at the Cooperative Extension office at 24 Main St., Lisbon Falls. Registration closes Nov. 23. Limit is 28 attendees. Snow date is Dec. 7
The Unity session is Feb. 8 from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. at the Maine Organic Farmers and Gardeners Association, 294 Crosby Brook Road. Registration closes Feb. 1. Limit is 28 attendees. Snow date is Feb. 15.

Tri-Town Penguins to meet Nov. 27
DURHAM — The Tri-Town Penguins Snowmobile Club (Durham, Freeport, Pownal) will meet at 7 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 27, at the Durham Fire Station, 615 Hallowell Road. New members are always welcome.
Meetings are held the last Tuesday of the month from September to April.

Hebron to hear history of wood turning
HEBRON — Historian and author Peter Stowell will speak to the Hebron Historical Society at 7 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 27, at the Town Office, 351 Paris Road.
He will speak on the spool and toothpick mills of western Maine. The public is invited.
