FARMINGTON — James Anderson led the Mt. Blue Cougars to a 75-61 victory over Brewer in KVAC boys’ basketball action Tuesday.

Anderson put up 39 points in the win. Garrett Reynolds added 12 for the Cougars (2-0).

Brewer spread the scoring around. Brandon Glidden led the way with 17 points, while Trevor Pearson had 12 points and Cameron Monroe had 11.

Leavitt 73, Gardiner 39

TURNER — Wyatt Hathaway lit up Gardiner for 37 points in Leavitt’s 73-39 boys’ basketball victory Tuesday evening.

Hathaway hit five 3-pointers and had five steals. Oren Shaw added 10 points for the Hornets (2-0), and Cole Morin had four blocks to go along with his seven points.

Ryan Johnson led Gardiner (0-2) with 17 points.

Rangeley 74, Valley 73

RANGELEY — Nolan Boone and Ian Lillis each had 18 points to lead five Lakers in double figures in Tuesday’s East/West Conference boys’ basketball win in Rangeley.

Rangeley (1-0) trailed by 13 after three quarters before rallying for the victory. William Brey added 17 points in the victory, and Kenneth Thompson and Callahan Crosby chipped in with 11 and 10, respectively.

Josh Farmer scored 22 points for Valley (1-1) to lead all scorers.

Poland 81, St. Dominic 30

AUBURN — Poland had five players in double digits as it defeated St. Dom’s 81-30 in boys’ basketball action Tuesday night.

Isaiah Hill had 17 points to lead the Knights, while Evan Kelley had 14 points. Joe Ringuette, Jay Hawkes, Gage Bachelder each had 10 points.

Robbie Dick led the Saints with 11 points, and Ethan Bosse had nine in the losing effort.

Temple 70, Buckfield 60

BUCKFIELD — Noah Wiley scored a career-high 36 points but it wasn’t enough for the Buckfield, which fell to Temple 70-60 in an East/West Conference boys’ basketball conference Tuesday.

Nick Blaisdell scored 18 points to lead the Bereans (2-0). Ilija Ivkovic added 12 points, and Nathaniel Wiles had 10.

Wiley and Tyler Gammon (23 points) scored all but one of the Bucks’ points. Buckfield falls to 0-2.

York 64, Gray-New Gloucester 58

YORK — Will MacDonald scored 17 points, Chris Cummins and Brady Cummins each added 12, and the Wildcats (2-0) held off the Patriots (1-1) on Tuesday.

York led 37-26 at halftime, but John Martin scored 11 of his game-high 33 points in the third as the Patriots pulled within 52-51.

Martin, who scored all seven points in the fourth for the Patriots, finished with seven 3-pointers, including three in the third quarter.

Zack Pomerleau and Hunter Colby each added six points for Gray-New Gloucester.

Boothbay 60, Lisbon 25

LISBON FALLS — Glory Blethen and Faith Blethen combined for 50 points as Seahawks (1-0) beat the Greyhounds (0-2) on Tuesday.

Glory Blethen scored a game-high 27, and Faith Blethen had 23. Boothbay held Lisbon to two points in the first quarter on the way to a 32-8 halftime lead.

Charlee Cox scored 10 points and Valerie Doucette added five for Lisbon.

Gray-New Gloucester 54, York 20

GRAY — Gray-New Gloucester jumped on York early, taking a 15-2 lead after one quarter, and cruised to a 54-20 girls’ basketball victory over York on Tuesday.

Jordan Grant scored 21 to lead the Patriots (2-0), and Mikaela Ryan finished with 14 points.

Nina Howe was York’s (0-2) to scorer with five points.

Madison 53, Telstar 39

BETHEL — Emily Edgerly put up 18 points to help Madison earn a 53-39 girls’ basketball win over Telstar on Tuesday.

Brooke Ross added 12 points in the win, and Kathryn Worthen scored 10.

BRUNWICK — Ian Struck scored a hat trick, including the winning goal with 55 seconds left in the game, as Mt. Ararat/Lisbon/Morse (1-0-1) beat Windham/Westbrook (0-2) at Watson Arena on Tuesday.

Noah Austin added two goals and two assists for Mt. Ararat, while Cade Charron finished with 27 saves.

Derek Corbett scored a hat trick with an assist for Windham and Colin Casserly also scored. Sean White had 24 saves.
