Auditions for “The Vagina Monologues”
AUBURN — V-Day aUbUrn 2019 will hold auditions for “The Vagina Monologues” from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 6, and from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Monday, Jan. 8.
Audition material will be provided. Monologues will be read in the show, and need not be memorized. Dress rehearsal will be Feb. 22; show Feb. 23. Dawn Sullivan will direct. This year’s show is dedicated to the late Melissa Stevens, a former V-Day actor and director.
Women, or those who identify as female, may audition; anyone is invited to help with the production (tickets, ushering, etc.). Due to adult content, participants must be 16-plus. Auditions will be held at First Universalist Church of Auburn, 169 Pleasant St.

RFA to hold artists’ reception
RANGELEY — The Rangeley Friends of the Arts will host a reception for three talented young artists from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 10th, in the Lakeside Contemporary Art Gallery.
Meet the artists, recent Rangeley Lakes Regional School graduates Logan Abbott, Natasha Haley and Isobel Straub, enjoy complimentary snacks and cash bar (beer/wine) and view the artists’ selected works.
The exhibit has been on display since Sept. 16, 2018, and will conclude after the reception. The gallery is in the lobby of the RFA Lakeside Theater, 2493 Main St. The gallery presents rotating exhibits during the year. For the RFA’s complete schedule of events, visit www.rangeleyarts.org.
