Noah Austin scored four goals, including a hat trick alone in the third period, to rally the host Eagles past the Rams, 6-4, in Class A North boys’ hockey action Monday at Watson Arena in Brunswick.
Ian Struck and Ian Cooke also scored for Mt. Ararat/Lisbon/Morse/ Hyde (3-0-1). Hunter Merryman had three assists, and Struck, Noah Magda and Tristen Cloutier all had one.
Joe Arps, Michael Boivin, Colin Osborne and Zach Whitney each scored for Cony/Monmouth/Hall-Dale (0-3). Jacob Godbout notched two assists and Nick Levesque dished out one.
Cade Charron made 31 saves for the Eagles, while Matty Shea had 18 for the Rams.
Girls’ Basketball
Mt. Abram 46, Lisbon 42
Down by 10 at half, host Mt. Abram out-scored Lisbon by seven in both the third and fourth quarters to rally for a 46-42 MVC girls’ basketball victory Monday in Salem.
Summer Ross led the Roadrunners (1-3) with 17 points, including a pair of 3-pointers. Madison Phelps and Ashlyn Sorel added 11 points apiece.
Carly Drischler paced the Greyhounds (0-3) with 11 points, while Charlee Cox pitched in with 10.
Oak Hill 58, Telstar 30
Visiting Oak Hill methodically moved ahead of Telstar with consistently good quarters, finishing Monday’s MVC girls’ basketball game with a 58-30 victory in Bethel.
Desiree Dumais scored 13 points to lead a balanced Raiders (4-0) attack. Abby Nadeau added 12 and Audrey Dillman 10. Oak Hill scored at least 12 points in each quarter.
Luci Rothwell paced all scorers with 20 points for the Rebels (0-4). Brooke Richardson drained Telstar’s lone 3-pointer and finished with four points.
Boothbay 55, Monmouth 46
Faith Blethen scored 28 points to lead the Seahawks to a win over the Mustangs in Monmouth.
Glory Blethen scored 11 points, while Josey Smith added six points for Boothbay (3-0).
Libby Clement led Monmouth (1-3) with 12 points. Abby Ferland chipped in with nine points.
Old Orchard Beach 61, Hebron Academy 36
Samantha Donnell and Shani Plante put Old Orchard Beach ahead for good with a hot-shooting first quarter in a 61-36 victory over Hebron Academy at Old Orchard Beach.
Donnell scored seven of her 12 points and Plante six of her game-high 20 in the opening period, when the Seagulls (4-1) opened a 20-5 lead.
Allyson Walsh paced the Lumberjacks (3-2) with 15 points.
Boys’ Basketball
Mountain Valley 96, Wiscasset 38
Keegan Davis scored a game-high 21 points and host Mountain Valley had four other scorers in double figures to run away from Wiscasset, 96-38, in MVC boys’ basketball action Monday in Rumford.
Taylor Pelletier (17 points) and Jacob Blanchard (14) both made seven shots to trail Davis by one in the field-goal department. Casey Cormier and Dylan Desroches added 10 points apiece for the Falcons (4-0).
Billy Pinkham led the Wolverines (1-3) with 11 points, while Matthew Chapman had 10.
