Paris Fire Hall to host show
PARIS — The Maine Country Music Association Show & Dance will take place from noon to 5 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 13, at the Paris Fire Hall, 137 Western Ave., South Paris.
Admission is $6 for nonmembers, $5 for members and $2.50 for children under 12. Children must be supervised at all times. Local band, Rail Rattlers, and Tennessee award winner and Paris native, Bill Grover, will perform.
Concessions will be available. There will be raffles and a 50/50.

Senior fellowship group to meet Thursdays
LOVELL — The Gathering Place, a senior fellowship group, meets Thursdays from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Lovell United Church of Christ, 1174 Main St.
Meetings are free and open to any senior who wishes to drop in. Folks attending the meetings should bring their own lunch. Coffee, tea and snacks are provided. A hot meal is provided on the first Thursday of each month.
Chair yoga is offered on the third Thursday of the month. This is a time for fellowship, games, art and special events. For more information, call the church office at 207-925-1321.
Post to resume Saturday Jamborees
DIXFIELD — The Saturday Night Jamboree will resume Jan. 12, at the American Legion Post 100.
Doors open at 4:30 p.m., followed by a public supper from 5 to 6 p.m. Cost is $7 per person.
There will be dancing and music from 6 to 9 p.m. Cost $2 per person or $3 per couple if not purchasing the supper.
Rumford Senior Center Nickel Bingo
PERU — The Rumford Senior Center is open for sign-ups or other business from 9 to 11 a.m. on Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays.
Nickel Bingo is played at the center every Tuesday and Thursday at 12:30 p.m. All are welcome.

Town hall to hold open house
ANDOVER — There will be an open house tea at from 1 to 3 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 19, at the Town Hall.
This is to honor and thank the three local women — Wendy Hutchins, Pam Berry and Denise Hurd — who volunteered to do two paintings for the hall, to dedicate these paintings and to have the public share in the celebration.
Snow date will be from 1 to 3 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 20.
Church to hold contradance
NORWAY — There will be a post-holiday contradance from 7 to 9 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 19, at the First UU Church of Norway, 479 Main St.
Music will be provided by the Better Late Than Never Band with Maggie Robinson calling. Cost is $8 for singles, $20 family max. All dances taught. Beginners welcome with or without a partner. Bring clean shoes for dancing.

March for Equality on Saturday
BETHEL — March for Equality, marching with a global network of concerned individuals and other involved organizations, including Take Action Bethel, will be held Saturday, Jan. 19.
Weather permitting, the plan is to start at 10 a.m. at the new Veterans Memorial Park across Main Street from Cafe Dicocoa and walk to Crescent Park School. If the weather is challenging, everyone will meet at the school. Anyone wishing to park at the school will be offered a ride back to the Veterans Memorial Park.
Several speakers, including Stephanie LeBlanc, Abbie Ryder, Doretta Colburn, Diane Russell and Tobie Akerly-Gordon will be outlining goals and actions for 2019.
Hot beverages and snacks will be served.
