CONCORD, NEW HAMPSHIRE — Brooke Reynolds had 17 points, six rebounds and five steals to lead Central Maine Community College to a 93-37 women’s basketball victory over NHTI on Thursday.

Ahna McCusker had a double-double with 15 points and 12 rebounds, while Alex Bessey had 11 points and Kasie Maloney and Kristen Huntress scored 10 apiece for the Mustangs (14-2, 9-0 Yankee Conference).

Melissa Martel led NHTI (8-7, 4-4) with 11 points.

BOSTON — The Black Bears (8-11-2, 4-5-2 Hockey East) had seven different scorers and recorded their highest goal output for the season as they handled the host Eagles (7-11-2, 7-3-2) at the Kelly Rink on Wednesday.

Tim Doherty scored 4:57 into the second period to break a 1-1 tie and Jacob Schmidt-Svejstrup and Eduards Tralmaks each added an unassisted goal as Maine carried a 4-1 advantage to the second intermission.

The Black Bears added three unanswered goals in the third before a late Boston College goal.

Jeremy Swayman turned back 34 shots for Maine, while Ryan Edquist had 33 saves for the Eagles.
