Hope Association Valentine’s Dance
RUMFORD — The public is invited to a Valentine’s Dance from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, Feb. 8, at the Hope Association, 85 Lincoln Ave.
The dance will feature Joe “The Musician Man” Sirois. Refreshments will be served.
The event is free but donations for the Hope Association are accepted.
Snowmobile club to meet, bless sleds
MEXICO — The Mexico Trail Blazers will hold its monthly meeting at 7 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 6, downstairs at the Town Hall. All are welcome to attend.
The Blessing of the Sleds is from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 9, at Mountain Valley Middle School. There will be food, raffles and a 50/50, The blessing will be at noon.

Rally ride at Norway Lake
NORWAY —The Norway Trackers Snowmobile Club is hosting a rally ride on Saturday, Feb. 9, at Norway Lake.
Registration will be from 10 a.m. to noon, with awards at 1 p.m. Event starts and ends at the lake. Proceeds benefit the Norway snowmobile trail system with a recommended donation is $5 per hand. There will also be food for sale and raffles.

Committee to host Valentine dance
CANTON — The Canton Bicentennial Committee will present a “Be My Valentine” party from 6 to 10 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 9, at the Canton Historical Society, 25 Main St.
The event includes a buffet supper, desserts and a cash bar featuring a signature “Love Potion” drink. Music will be provided by DJs from 8th Street Entertainment and there will be games, door prizes and a 50/50 raffle.
This is a fundraiser for Canton’s weekend-long Bicentennial Celebration planned for August 2021. This event is open to the public and tickets are on sale for $20 at the Town Office, by calling 207-597-2920, or by messaging the Canton Bicentennial Committee on Facebook.

Grange to hold contradance
FARMINGTON — There will be a contradance at 6:30 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 9, at the Farmington Grange, 124 Bridge St.
John McIntire will be the caller and the Franklin County Fiddlers will play. The family dance ($1, $2) will be at 6:30 p.m., followed by regular contra ($6, $5) at 8. No partner necessary, beginners welcome.

Winter Fun Day in Carthage
CARTHAGE — There will be a Winter Fun Day sponsored by the Carthage Generations Club from 1 to 4 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 2, at Hutchinson Field, 510 Carthage Road.
Bring a sled. Hot cocoa and snacks will be provided.
Children must have adult supervision.
