NEW HOPE, Pa. — Leather quilt artist Linda Deming of Pownal, Maine has been accepted in the 2019 Pride & Joy Quilt Competition at the 13th annual Mid-Atlantic Quilt Festival.
The festival will take place Feb. 28 to March 3 at the Hampton Roads Convention Center in Hampton, Virginia.
Deming’s leather quilt, “Fly Like an Eagle,” will be on display along with many others. Winners will be selected at the show and announced on the festival website, quiltfest.com, on Thursday, Feb. 28.
Besides the competition quilts on display, the festival will feature workshops and lectures, and a collection of special exhibits, including many presented by local quilt guilds.
