LEWISTON – Antoinette J. Dionne, 92, of Lewiston peacefully passed away on Thursday Feb. 28, 2019 at Marshwood Nursing Home in Lewiston with her family by her side. She was born in Winthrop on Aug. 3, 1926, the daughter of the late Antoine and Angelina (Vaillancourt) Philippon. She grew up in the Livermore Falls area and attended local schools there.
After high school she had various jobs; of those, two of her favorites were Poland Spring Inn and Connie’s Catering. On Nov. 19, 1949 she married Philibert G. Dionne at St. Louis Church in Auburn and they started a family together.
She will always be remembered for her love of creating numerous arts and crafts that she would share with her family and friends. There were also many great memories made while camping over the years and she especially enjoyed her swimming and beach times with the family and making many friends along the way. She will be greatly missed.
She is survived by her four children, Normand Dionne of Biddeford, Lucille Dick of Lewiston, Claire Dobbs of Lewiston and Theresa Andoniades and her companion Chuck Cooper of Augusta. She also leaves behind her brother, Joseph Philippon of Lewiston; her seven grandchildren, Jennifer, Stephanie, Jason, Angela, Thimitrios, Athena, and Iorthanis; as well as her seven great-grandchildren; two great great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her loving husband, Philibert; her son, Lionel Dionne; her grandson, Leaf Dionne; her two sisters, Lorette Chouinard and Jean-D’Arc Pulsifer.

Visiting hours will be held at Fortin\Lewiston on Thursday March 7, 2019 from 5-8 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday March 8, 2019 at 10 a.m. at the Basilica of Ss. Peter & Paul (lower chapel) followed by committal prayers at St. Peter’s Cemetery in Lewiston.
