The Franklin County Animal Shelter has announced the Pets of the Week. The shelter is doing their part to control the spread of COVID-19 and will be closed to walk-ins and limiting community contact until further notice. They will continue offering adoptions by appointment. Please call us at 207-778-2638. The shelter is located at 550 Industry Road, Farmington. This week, the Pets of the Week are:
Lynn, a female, senior cat: Hi there, my name is Lynn. I am a typical old lady cat that has really come out my shell while I have been here at the shelter. I can be a grumpy old lady from time to time, but if you have treats or canned food, you are my best friend. I can be quite the little chatterbox. Sleeping and eating are two of my favorite past times.
Sherry is a one year old female pitbull terrier mix who just arrived in Maine from Mississippi. Sherry is a very smart dog that is looking for an owner to help guide her through life and make intelligent life choices. She loves people and looks to her owner to be a strong leader. While in Mississippi, Sherry did well with the children that she met there. Sherry has an alpha female personality and would most likely do best with a laid-back canine housemate. She also has a high prey drive and needs to find a home without cats or other small animals.
