What is going on in this country? I heard on the news Feb. 15 that at least two congresspeople are being censured by their home GOP for voting for Mr. Trump’s conviction.
That is outrageous. Again, it shows the leadership of the party putting the party over the country.
A congressperson should have the right to vote without recrimination from the party. Congresspeople are elected to represent their constituents.
They should vote and have the right to vote: according to the needs and desires of the people they represent, according to whether they think the situation is right or wrong, and without fear of retribution by their party leaders.
Again, this is absolutely outrageous. I have left the Republican Party. The party is dead to me.
