Jennifer Sabins is the featured artist for February in the Gritty’s Art and Ale Window in Auburn. Born and raised in a small town in northwestern Montana, Sabins grew up in a valley surrounded by mountains. She moved to Maine with her husband and two kids about 15 years ago. Sabins is a self-taught painter who paints in acrylic and her subject matter reflects her love of the outdoors.
“I find the best time to paint is early in the morning when everyone in the house is still asleep. I find painting to be relaxing and calming letting the everyday stress of the world go. I love the outdoors and being in the quiet solitude of the forest.”
