Green Dot Lewiston-Auburn is offering two-hour bystander intervention training using Zoom. Each interactive session lasts about two hours, and is limited to 15 adult participants. Registration is required.
Most people have seen or heard someone harass or bully another person, and wished they knew what to say or do? People are much more likely to be a bystander than either a participant or a victim of hateful and hurtful words and harmful behavior.
Green Dot teaches safe and proven-effective bystander intervention techniques that every member of a community can use, both proactively to change our culture for the better, and reactively to minimize harm.
No one can do everything, but can do their part to make Lewiston-Auburn a safer and more welcoming community.
The following sessions are available. Each is an individual session; this is not a series.
• Saturday, March 13, 9:30 a.m.
• Wednesday, March 24, 7 p.m.
• Thursday, April 8, 7 p.m.
The virtual trainings are co-sponsored by Green Dot, the Lewiston Public Library, and the Auburn Public Library. For more information, contact Green Dot at workshops@greendotla.org.
