The Rangeley Guides and Sportsmen’s Association’s clubhouse is located on Old Skiway Road in Oquossoc. Our mission is the conservation, protection and restoration of wildlife for sportsmen and sportswomen and future generations. We offer a variety of programs and activities and anticipate resuming the activities listed here as State guidelines allow. Updates can be found on our website rangeleyoutdoors.org
There is a “catch and release” trout pond for kids on the grounds as well as the Tim Baker Nature Trail which features a storybook trail that is open to the public mid-June through October.
A 3D archery trail is also available on the grounds with access from the lower parking lot. Sign in is required. Contact Gary Langille @ 207-860-9293 for more info.
Our major focus this year is the RRG&SA Mooselookmeguntic Landlocked Salmon Fishing Derby which is scheduled for June 19 and 20. Look for the article in this issue.
We look forward to resuming our monthly potluck suppers, featuring guest speakers on relevant topics, on the third Thursday each month. Watch for more information on our website.
Our shooting range on the Morton Cutoff Road at Old Fanjoy Pit will reopen in May. Regulations can be found on our website or picked up at Rivers’s Edge Sports Shop along with required waivers.
Skeet and Trap shooting are available at the end of Old Skiway Road in Oquossoc. There is a Shotgun Tournament July 4th. Check the website @ www.rrsta.org or contact David Kretzing @ 207-864-4323.

The club participates in the Rangeley Independence Day celebration at the Rangeley Town Park offering burgers and our famous “Guide Fries”.
Our summer youth Junior Guides program starts July 5th on Mondays from 9 to 3.

Our Strawberry Festival takes place on Thursday, July 8th from 10 to 3 in Oquossoc Village Town Park. Come enjoy strawberry shortcake and tour the craft booths.

RRG&SA‘s Turkey Shoot is held in the fall at the Rifle and Pistol Range on the Morton Cutoff Road. Check the website for the date and registration information.
