LEWISTON — A building at 36 College St. was struck by bullets Tuesday night, but police said no one has been reported struck nor injured by gunfire in that area.
Police were alerted shortly after 11 p.m. of shots fired in the area of 36-38 College St. and that the suspects had fled the scene, according to a media statement issued by Lt. David St. Pierre.
Several officers responded and canvased the area in search of evidence or suspects before detectives and evidence technicians were called to the scene, St. Pierre wrote.
The incident is being investigated by detectives, but as of Wednesday afternoon, no one had been charged, St. Pierre wrote.
