Continuing in its series of selecting Twin Decades teams for all of its sponsored sports, the Yankee Small College Conference announced its Golf Twin Decades team Monday, with two former Central Maine Community College standouts among the honorees.
Andrew Slattery and Mike Tedischi were the Mustangs to make the list of the 18 best players since the league’s inception in 2005.
“YSCC golf has had a long history within the conference with many outstanding players. This culmination of 18 golfers is an excellent representation of golf within the YSCC,” Matt Richards, YSCC President and Athletic Director at Southern Maine Community College, said in a press release announcing the team.
Slattery was the YSCC Golfer of the Year in 2012, and Tedischi was the conference’s Golfer of the Year in 2009.
The YSCC began announcing its Twin Decades teams in February, starting with its Women’s Basketball team. Other teams that have been announced are: Men’s Basketball, Volleyball, and Women’s and Men’s Soccer.
