LIVERMORE — ATV trails are still closed, to let them dry out completely. Nearly all the trails in Livermore are on private land and the Brettuns Wheelers ATV Club wants to protect the landowners who are kind enough to let ATV trails across their land.
At a meeting Saturday, April 10, four area clubs met and discussed upcoming events. With covid 19 still rearing it’s ugly head, Bob Dalot, president of Western Maine ATV Club, said, “We still have to be careful.” His trails have a tentative date of June 5 to open.
Other members spoke up to add that the health of our members, family and friends is the top priority.
So far, clubs have set opening dates from May 15 to June 5, but it depends entirely upon soil conditions at the time.
Dalot also announced that if trails can open by June 5, WMATV set a tentative date for a barbeque and ride to the ice cream parlor in West Farmington. Details will be announced at a future time.
