SABATTUS — A tractor-trailer carrying explosives crashed Tuesday on I-95 after the driver reportedly was cut off by another vehicle.

Casey Thomas, 48, of Sandown, New Hampshire, was driving south near mile marker 88 when he reported an unknown vehicle cut in front of him, forcing him to drive into the median and hit the guardrail about 12:30 p.m., according to Shannon Moss, public information officer for Maine Department of Public Safety. 

Thomas was not hurt and the explosives he was carrying for Maine Drilling and Blasting of Gardiner remained safe, Moss wrote in a news release.

The vehicle had front end damage and three flat tires.
