GRAY — Owen McDuffie dominated the faceoff circle and scored three goals for Gray-New Gloucester in a 6-1 victory over St. Dominic Academy in boys lacrosse on Wednesday.

Jake Butler, Ben Pierce and Brody Simpson all tallied a goal for the Patriots(6-6). Sam Tibbetts made seven saves in net.

Lucas Pushard scored the first goal of the game for the Saints (4-7). Goalie Aaron Thibault had 14 saves.

GIRLS LACROSSE

OXFORD HILLS 11, LEWISTON 8: The Vikings (10-2) used eight different goal-scorers to down the Blue Devils (6-5) at Lewiston.

Celia Melanson and Ella Kellogg each had two goals and an assist for Oxford Hills, and Mallory Kennsion also scored twice. Katie Hallee, Olivia Orlando, Molly Littlefield, Kelsey Bennett and Ashlee Farrar all had one goal, and Tiana James made seven saves in net.

Charlotte Gastonguay led Lewiston with four goals and an assist, Brie Dube scored two goals, Shauna LeBlanc had one, and Ceci Miller chipped in with a goal and two assists. Emma Begin stopped 11 shots.

LAKE REGION 18, ST. DOMINIC 5: Brianna Sargent scored eight goals to lead the Lakers past the Saints (5-7) in Auburn.

Shauna Hancock had three goals and Katie Keenan had two for Lake Region. Mackenzie Siebert, Rebecca Caron, Bello Russo and Brooke Toole each had a goal apiece.

Taryn Cloutier scored three times for St. Dom’s while Emma Roy and Bella Pelletier each scored one goal.

LAWRENCE 19, MT. BLUE 4: Holly Bolduc scored seven goals and Kaylyn Bourque added three to lead the Bulldogs in Farmington.

Ally Higgins and Emma Poulin each scored two goals for Lawrence as well.

BASEBALL

LEAVITT 1, MARANACOOK 0: Hornets starting pitcher Garrett Mollica gave up three hits and struck out six in his complete-game shutout over Maranacook in Turner.

The Hornets finally broke through in the sixth inning against Maranacook’s Nick Florek, who struck out seven.

SOFTBALL

ST. DOMINIC 5, RICHMOND 3: Kathleen Dean was the winning pitcher and chipped in with an RBI single as the Saints edged the Bobcats at Richmond.

Bella Perryman also hit an RBI single and Alyssa Hart had a triple for St. Dom’s.

SPRUCE MOUNTAIN 15, LISBON 1: The Phoenix used an 11-run fourth inning in their regular-season finale to put away the Roadrunners at Lisbon.

Jaydn Pingree led the Spruce Mountain offense with four RBIs while going 3 for 3. Hannah Turcotte pitched a complete game in the circle.
