To the Editor:
After having lived all across the United States, we returned to Maine 18 years ago and have been enamored with the town of Norway ever since. The shops, the people, and the ambiance are a treasure.
However, we are very disappointed that the town no longer hosts the Farmers’ Market in the town square during the summer. It was not only a boon to the farmers, but to the local economy of Norway and a wonderful way to meet those farmers and see friends and neighbors. Is there any chance it will return in the future?

Editor’s Note: There is a Farmer’s market with farmers and vendors every Friday from 5-8 p.m. at the Alan Day Community Garden, 26 Whitman St., until September 3.
