The Gendron Franco Center will host its Franco Winter Extravaganza fundraiser one night only at 7 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 17, complete with a holiday light show, live music, and performance dance.

“Due to the snow predicted on Saturday, we made the decision to cancel that night’s show, but continue with the Friday show,” said Elaine Roop, board president. “The abbreviated format of the show means that there will be no intermission.” Tickets for the cancelled Saturday show will be honored on Friday.

The lineup of musical superstars features Sierra Harris, a 19-year-old performer from Newburyport, Massachusetts, who is the lead singer in the band Clockwork. Other song performers include Anthony Cavallaro and Julia Hamilton. Dance/tumbler performers include Payton Harris, Natalie Seed, Jacey Joyce, Violet Harris, and Lyla Harris.

Extravaganza patrons will experience the holiday-themed light show complete with immersive state-of-the-art technology from the cushioned seats in the former St. Mary’s Church that the Gendron Franco Center calls its home.

Joe Strout, production manager, is the technician behind the events at the performing arts center.

“The best way for me to describe The Franco Winter Extravaganza is that it is similar to a Trans-Siberian Orchestra light show, with video mapping, mixed with a traditional Christmas show,” said Strout.

Proceeds from ticket sales will benefit the Gendron Franco Center and its mission to preserve the former St. Mary’s Church that it calls home and to bring the best in arts and entertainment to the community.

The Franco Winter Extravaganza will be held in the upstairs Performance Hall. Reserved seating. Advance tickets: $25 per adult; $15 per kid 12/under. Tickets at the door: $30 per adult; $20 per kid 12/under. Order tickets at www.francocenter.org or 207-689-2000. The Gendron Franco Center is located at 46 Cedar St., Lewiston.
