GREENWOOD — Bob Oicke from the age friendly Community Initiative joined the Greenwood Board of Selectman meeting on September 22. He discussed the different programs the AGFI was doing with the community. One of them was working with volunteer students who would help a senior citizen with a safe activity. Another one of the programs was driving people from one point to another point.
Oicke came because he wanted to recognize Greenwood as an age-friendly town. To recognize this, he presented Greenwood with a plaque. He thanked Greenwood for all its support, as well as its financial support of $600 that year.
In other news, the Mahoosic Broadband Committee will meet next week. As the selectman looked over the results from the other towns, they found a lot of the other towns were in the same agreement. They did not share the information they received, but said there was enough community agreement to help them move forward
