SALEM — Cam Walters scored the game-winning goal in double overtime to lift top-ranked Mt. Abram (14-0-2) to a 1-0 victory over No. 4 Monmouth Academy (12-3-3) in a Class C South boys soccer semifinal on Friday.
The Roadrunners go on to face No. 2 Waynflete (12-2-2) on Tuesday in Lewiston.
Mt Abram goalie Ian Allen made five saves while Monmouth’s Hunter Frost made 13.
WAYNFLETE 4, LISBON 1: The Flyers (13-3) scored three second-half goals to defeat the Greyhounds (12-2-2) in a Class C South semifinal game in Portland.
Samir Sayed put Waynflete up 2-1 with 30 minutes remaining in the second half. Two quick goals in the final 15 minutes by Jasper Curtis and Jacob Woodman extended the Flyers’ lead to 4-1.
Hunter Brissette’s goal gave Lisbon a 1-0 lead in the first half.
Waynflete’s Matt Adey put home a Henry Hart corner kick to tie the game at 1-1.
FOOTBALL
OXFORD HILLS 49, BANGOR 20: Eli Soehren completed eight of 10 passes for 196 yards and two touchdowns and rushed for 153 yards and two scores in the Vikings’ regular season finale victory over the Rams in Paris.
The Vikings took a 21-7 lead by halftime. Isaiah Oufiero scored a pair of touchdowns (a 40-yard catch and a 6-yard run) for Oxford Hills (7-1), and Tanner Bickford caught a 42-yard pass from Soehren.
In the third quarter, Soehren scored a 1-yard touchdown run and, after Bangor returned a fumble for a touchdown to cut the Vikings’ lead to 28-14, Nick Plamondon returned a kick 84 yards for a touchdown.
Soehren added a 7-yard touchdown run in the fourth quarter and Lincoln Merrill capped the scoring with a 1-yard run.
WINDHAM 56, MT. BLUE 0: Will Leadbetter threw for 156 yards and three touchdowns to power the top-seeded Eagles (7-0) past the No. 8 Cougars (1-6) in a Class B North quarterfinal at Windham.
Haddon Boyle ran for 116 yards and two touchdowns. Tate Chork chipped in with a 15-yard touchdown run, and Alex Yetten had a 23-yard touchdown catch.
The Eagles will host No. 4 Skowhegan in the semifinals.
GIRLS SOCCER
RANGELEY 7, GREENVILLE 0: Breezy Quimby scored three goals and the second-seeded Lakers of Rangeley blanked the sixth-seeded Lakers of Greenville in a Class D South semifinal in Rangeley.
Rangeley (7-3) earns a spot in the regional final against No. 1 North Yarmouth Academy (15-0-1), scheduled for Tuesday at Messalonskee High School in Oakland.
Quimby also set up a goal. Mya Laliberti added two goals and had an assist. Emily Eastlack and Amelia Stokes also scored for Rangeley, while goalie Winnie Larochelle and Eva Spear each assisted on a goal
Rangeley held Greenville to zero shots on goal and zero corners.
