Paris Public Library is participating in a needed community drive for knit and crocheted hats and mittens for children.
Last year we had a successful drive thanks to so many generous needle crafters and we are hoping we can meet this need once again for the children in our community, even though we are a month behind last year’s starting date, according to a news release from the library.
Free yarn, knitting patterns, and a box for handcrafted items are available at the library.
To participate, select and request a bag of free yarn from the display at the front desk (the librarian will hand them to you, knit children’s hats and mittens, and bring the items to the Paris Public Library’s Christmas For Kids’ dropbox before the end of the second week in December.
