BETHEL — The Maine Ski and Snowboard Museum, based in Kingfield, plans to introduce the first in a series of presentations, “The Cocoa Chronicles,” on the history and heritage of snow sports in Maine.
“Why We Ski” traces the reasons and roots of the winter sport. The Bethel Inn Resort, at 21 Broad St. in Bethel, will host the live presentation from 4:30 to 6 p.m. Friday, Nov. 26, at 21 Broad St., and online participants can view via Zoom from 5 to 6 p.m.
Because of The Cocoa Chronicles sponsors, the Maine Dairy and Nutrition Council and Oakhurst Dairy, in-person attendees will receive a souvenir mug filled with hot cocoa and topped with whipped cream. The cost is $20 with limited seating available.
Cassie Mason Real Estate, Mahoosuc Realty, Mountain Real Estate, Maine Street Realty, Sally Harkins and Co. and Sunday River Real Estate have provided funding for the event.
Both the live and streamed presentations require advance registration at maineskiandsnowboardmuseum.org
