WALES — Charlie Doyle and Levi Tibbetts each scored 16 points, paving the way for Lisbon’s 54-40 victory over Oak Hill in a Mountain Valley Conference basketball game on Friday night.

Caden Thompson dropped 15 points for the Raiders and Jackson Arbour hit for 10 point and made three 3-pointers.

MT. ABRAM 69, TELSTAR 26: Kayden Pillsbury lead all scorers with 19 points and threw in a pair of 3-pointers as the Roadrunners (1-3) dropped the Rebels (0-3) in Bethel.

By halftime, Mt. Abram was cruising with 45-10 lead. Brayden Stevens led the Rebels with 12 points.

MONMOUTH ACADEMY 50, MADISON 43: Manny Calder had 16 points to lead the Mustangs (2-0) to a win over the Bulldogs (1-1) in Monmouth.

Hunter Frost had 13 points and Hayden Fletcher had 11 points for Monmouth.

Callan Franzose led Madison with 14 points and Thomas Dean had 11 points.

SKOWHEGAN 62, MT. BLUE 52, OT: Collin LePage had 19 points and grabbed 10 rebounds to lead the Riverhawks in Skowhegan.

Adam Savage had 12 points and 15 rebounds, while Kyle LePage added 10 points and seven rebounds for Skowhegan (1-1).

Evans Sterling led the Cougars (1-1) with 18 points, while Chandler Briggs and Charles Stevens each added 11 points.

WINTHROP 51, DIRIGO 47: Andrew Foster scored 17 points to lead the Ramblers in Winthrop.

Logan Baird scored 14 points, while Matt Beck added 11 points for the Ramblers (3-0).

Charlie Houghton led Dirigo (1-1) with 16 points.

SPRUCE MOUNTAIN 51, CARRABEC 39: Jace Bessey had 14 points to lead the Phoenix (1-0) to a win over the Cobras (1-1).

Owen Bryant had 11 points and Ian York had 10 points for Spruce Mountain.

EDWARD LITTLE 7, PORTLAND/DEERING 1: Aiden Gonzalez scored a hat trick and assisted on another goal as the Red Eddies (2-0) romped past the Bulldogs (0-2) in Auburn.

Trey Coulombe had a goal and two assists and Jack Keefe and Campbell Cassidy each notched a goal and an assist for Edward Little. Christian Mathieu opened the scoring for the Red Eddies, and Gage Ducharme and Camren Dufour combined to make four saves.

Portland/Deering’s lone goal came in the first period to cut the deficit to 2-1, with Henry Cossaboom scoring from Hunter Temple. Ryan Becker stopped 24 shots.

MT. ARARAT/LISBON/MORSE 4, MARSHWOOD/TRAIP/SANFORD/NOBLE 1: Playing on back-to-back nights in separate “home” arenas, the Eagles again overcame an early deficit to win, defeating the Knighthawks 4-1 at Travis Roy Arena in Yarmouth.

Senior goalie Sean Moore continued his strong start to the season, stopping 33 of 34 shots to earn the win for the Eagles (2-0), who got two goals each from linemates Bryce Poulin and Dylan Richards. Alex Witwicki, Jameson Fowler, Will Dudley, Johnny Hole and Tristen Cloutier all chipped in with an assist apiece.

Caden Fontaine scored the first goal of the game unassisted for the Knighthawks (1-1) just 1:05 into the first period. Sumner Wood made 22 saves in the loss.

The Eagles went 2 for 5 on the power play while adding a shorthanded goal as well. Marshwood/Traip/Sanford/Noble went 0 for 1 on the man-advantage.

SOUTH PORTLAND/FREEPORT/WAYNFLETE 4, LEWISTON 1: Dylan Hannan opened the scoring just 39 seconds into the game on a feed from Roan Hopkins, then assisted on two power-play goals by Richie Gilboy as South Portland/Freeport/Waynflete (2-0) topped Lewiston (0-1) at the Colisee.

Gilboy’s first goal with just 21 seconds left in the first period made it 2-0. Evan Knowlton put Lewiston on the board early in the second off an assist from Cody Dionne, Jake Udomsay answered late in the second and Gilboy clinched the victory with 1:58 remaining in the third.

Jasper Curtis recorded 18 saves for the Red Riots. Lewiston’s Ben Cloutier made 31 saves.

GIRLS HOCKEY
SCARBOROUGH 4, LEWISTON 2: Meagan Donovan turned in a hat trick, steering the Red Storm to a victory over the Blue Devils in Lewiston.

Calynn Gendreau also scored for the Storm and Lillian Finley picked up the assist in the first period.

For Lewiston, Lilly Gish scored in the first period and Leah Landry dropped in a goal in the third period on a Charlotte Cloutier assist.
