Area roundup: Jayce Brophy paces Dirigo girls to win over Buckfield

BUCKFIELD — Jayce Brophy and Grace Robbins paced Dirigo in a 55-18 win over Buckfield in a Mountain Valley Conference girls basketball game Monday.

Brophy scored 16 points, including 4-for-4 shooting at the free-throw line, and Robbins added 12 points for the Cougars (3-2).

Addison Stevens-Belanger led the Bucks (0-6) with 11 points.

HALL-DALE 66, OAK HILL 38: KK Willis and Amanda Trepenier led a balanced attack as the Bulldogs (7-0) traveled to Wales and took down the Raiders (2-4).

Willis scored 12 points and Trepenier finished with 10. Six Hall-Dale players scored six or more points, and 11 players scored at least a basket.

Oak Hill’s Paige Gonya topped all scorers with 19 points, including 5-of-6 shooting from the free-throw line. Gabby Chessie added nine points for the Raiders, who had only seven players available for the game.

MADISON 78, MT. ABRAM 28: Hailey Paquet scored 20 points and teammates Ali Griffeth and Marina Gilman each scored 12 points in the Bulldogs’ (4-1) romp over the Roadrunners (0-5) in Salem.

Arabel Linkletter helped Madison out with 10 points.

Mt. Abram’s Charlotte Mitchell finished with nine points.
