Maine Event Comedy presents 15-year comedy veteran Carolyn Plummer at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 15, at Johnson Hall Theater in Gardiner. The show will also feature Cher Lynn and Mike Gray. The show is for ages 21-plus and will contain adult language and content.
Plummer pulls material from life’s hum-drum, day-to-day monotony – and she does it well. She pulls from places most of us hide and puts a nail through the heart of whiners, self-loathers, and the self-sorry of the world. Most of all, her twisted perception of our common existence leaves audiences shaking heads in agreement. She performs throughout New England and was recently part of “Comics Come Home” at TD Garden in Boston.
Lynn is a comedian, actress, and writer. She was a Boston Comedy Festival and Burbank Comedy Festival finalist. She has also performed in the Cape Fear Comedy Festival and Lady Laughs Comedy Festival. She was recently on the cover of Dig Boston.
Gray has been performing throughout New England for about 5 years, although he’d rather not count 2020. He was a finalist in New England’s Best Bar Comic competition in 2017 and has competed in Last Comix Standing.
Tickets are $18 for adults, $16 for seniors, and may be purchased at johnsonhall.org or by calling the office at (207) 582-7144 Tuesday – Friday between noon and 3 p.m. A streaming option is also offered for $10.
