A Girl Scout representative plans to be in the Lewiston Public Library’s Children’s Department at 5:30 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 9, at at 200 Lisbon St. to talk with those interested in Girls Scouts for their child.

There also will be an opportunity to check out a free Girl Scout activity from one of Girl Scouts’ many badges.

According to a news release from the library, through programs from coast to coast, Girl Scouts of all backgrounds and abilities can be unapologetically themselves as they discover their strengths and rise to meet new challenges, whether they want to climb to the top of a tree or the top of their class, lace up their boots for a hike or advocate for climate justice, or make their first best friends.

This program is free and open to the public, and no registration is required.
