LEWISTON — Hannah Wurgaft and Mohamed Awil have joined the board of directors of the Trinity Jubilee Center.
Located downtown, the center is a nonprofit organization serving hungry, homeless, elderly and disabled Lewiston-Auburn residents. Trinity offers hot meals, groceries and diapers, a medical clinic, help with resume-writing and job applications, and toiletries and winter coats to more than 1,000 people every week, according to a news release from the organization.
Wurgaft is an associate attorney at Brann & Isaacson. She is a graduate of Bowdoin College and the University of Maine School of Law, where she was the executive editor of the Maine Law Review. She has also volunteered her time at the Cumberland Legal Aid Clinic, the Central Maine Human Resources Association, and the Boys and Girls Club of Southern Maine.
Awil is the CEO and operations manager of Community Staffing Partners of Maine. He attended the University of Southern Maine and is a graduate of Lewiston High School, where he was a member of the Class A East, Kennebec Valley Athletic Conference, and state cross country championship team, as well as a member of the National Technical Honors Society. He has also volunteered his time with the Dempsey Challenge, Special Olympics, and the Red Cross.
