One Longfellow Square plans to welcome Eric Bettencourt, Will Mallett, and Pat Byrne for an evening of songwriters in the round starting at 8 p.m. Sunday, April 19, at 181 State St. in Portland.
Eric Bettencourt moved to from Portland to Austin Texas in 2012 to pursue his passion for songwriting. Since then he has released one EP (Weightless Embrace Vol.2) and two Full-length albums (An Underwater Dream & Bric-a-Brac) The former was released a little over a year ago.
Mallett is a prolific and inventive songwriter in his own right. He is mostly known for co-fronting the regionally famous Mallett Brothers Band with his brother Luke.
Byrne is an Irish singer songwriter. In 2012 he was crowned the winner of the The Voice of Ireland. In late 2017, Byrne emigrated to Austin, Texas. Immersed in the Texas music scene and released the LP’s “Rituals” (2018) and “Into the Light” (2021).
Tickets cost $15 in advance or $20 at the door.
