To the Editor:
Who would believe how far we’d fall in this short time? We went from John Wayne’s ‘True Grit’, to Don Knotts’ ‘Shakiest Gun in the West’. From prosperity, to calamity. Robustness…to near hopelessness. We need to right this ship. This experiment has blown up in our faces. It’s like 8th grade chemistry class all over again. We, (I say we only because I’m trying to be diplomatic)…but we wanted to rid ourselves of those nasty tweets soooo badly that we ignored all the positive actions that were accomplished that served us soooo well.
You chose to use your vote as some sort of statement for nobleness and/or expressing your self-righteousness, but you failed this country in doing so. Didn’t anyone ever teach you that actions speak louder than tweets?
Hindsight is 2020 and I’m sure a majority of the 51% have such regret for the decision they made on that November day. But rest assured because foresight is 2024. It’s time to right a wrong. I’ll vote tweets over twits.
