We had numerous correct answers for last week’s Mystery Photo, including people who ride horses there or have stopped to take a photo of the carving. We even received an entry from the owner of the property, who wrote: “The carved tree trunk is at Unexpected Farm in Wales, Maine. It is at the horse farm I own with my wife, Chelsea Canedy (Canedy Horsemanship and Performance). We had to cut down a very old maple tree that had died and wanted to do something to ‘honor’ the tree. The chainsaw artist was Josh Landry.” In a random drawing from all the correct entries, Gary David of Lisbon was picked and will receive a $20 Hannaford Supermarket gift card. David said he looks forward to the Mystery Photo each week but has never entered the contest. But when he drove past the carving and noticed someone taking a photo of it and then recognized it in the Sunday paper, he thought he should enter.
