Lewiston Public Library plans to offer an interactive program where children use games, crafts, and creative STEAM activities to learn all about the cephalopods: octopus, squid, nautilus and cuttlefish. This program, Great Tentacles: Cephalopod STEAM, is part of its summer reading line up and takes place from 4 to 5 p.m. Wednesday, July 27, in Callahan Hall on 200 Lisbon St.
Great Tentacles will feature four different activities: Squid Racing, Cuttlefish Camouflage, Octopus Slime, and Nautilus Blow Painting. All families will leave with a free book about cephalopods and a gummy treat, according to a news release from the library.
Great Tentacles is free and open to all children 12 and younger and their families. No registration is required, and all supplies will be provided.
