Hundreds of Legionaries from all sections of the state will pour into the Two Cities today, the opening day of the Fourth Annual Convention of the the Department of Maine American Legion. With them will come several hundred women of the Legion Auxiliary, who are holding joint conventions here. It is expected to be the biggest gathering of the Maine Legion men in the history of the State organization. Both cities are gaily decorated.

It is the first American Legion to be held here and the cities have extended themselves to make Lewiston-Auburn a place to conjure within the minds of visiting Legion and Auxiliary delegates.
