BETHEL — Professional chef Cathi DiCocco plans to present Healthy Eating: Tune Up for Winter at 4 p.m. on two separate dates Tuesdays, Oct. 18 and Oct. 25.
The same program will be presented on each date, at DiCocco’s home at 125 Main St.
Because space is limited in DiCocco’s dining room, reservations will be required. Masks are to be worn and social distancing observed.
DiCocco will have a cooking demonstration and samples of various healthy foods. She will guide the audience with practical information about saving time and money while eating well.
Participants should be prepared for an interactive program of discussion and fun, according to a news release from Rosabelle Tifft of Western Mountains Senior College.
DiCocco has been a frequent presenter for To Your Health programs. She recently retired after 26 years of cooking and operating DiCocoa’s Marketplace.
A graduate of Florida State University with a degree in education, she began teaching her Fearless Natural Foods Cooking Classes in Bethel in 1992 and has continued to hold classes over the years.
Because she missed the contact with people since her retirement, DiCocco started her Gelato and Cookies part-time venture at her home this past summer.
The program is sponsored as a community service by To Your Health of Western Mountains Senior College, with the collaboration of Bethel Family Health Center and Maine School Administrative District 44/Continuing Education.
To register, call Lynne Zimmerman at 207-595-0780.
