The First Universalist Church of West Paris plans to change the location of its Sunday, Oct. 30, worship service.
Originally scheduled to be held at the South Paris Universalist Church as part of church exchanges, the service now will be held at 9 a.m. at the First Universalist Church of West Paris, 208 Main St. in West Paris.
Cynthia Reedy will be the guest speaker. Her topic is Celebrating Samhain, the Celtic New Year.
The pagans believed that at this time, the misty veil between the land of the living and the land of dead became thin, allowing souls to pass from one to the other, according to a news release from Suzanne Dunham, church member.
A future exchange will be scheduled with South Paris.
