Peter Wright previously served as the president of Bridgton Hospital and Rumford Hospital until his resignation last week, CMH officials said in a release.

Bridgton Hospital and Rumford Hospital are both 25-bed critical access hospitals that are part of the CMH network, which also includes Central Maine Medical Center in Lewiston.

Wright joined CMH as president of the two hospitals in March 2019. He was previously president and CEO of Valley Regional Healthcare in Claremont, New Hampshire.

Littleson thanked Wright for his contributions and leadership in a statement.

“Steve is incredibly excited to engage with our community and will provide the same excellent, strong leadership that he has become known for throughout the Central Maine system,” CMH board member Marney Chalmers said.

“Change is often difficult, but everyone at Rumford Hospital is passionate about the care and support they provide to their community, family, neighbors and friends. I know they will continue to be as they welcome Steve to the River Valley,” CMH board member Jolan Ippolito said.

Littleson first joined CMH as president of CMMC in May 2020 and later became the senior vice president of operations for the health care network. CMH’s board of directors appointed him president and CEO in October 2021, taking over from former executive Jeff Brickman.
