POLAND — The Tri-Town Optimist Club of Mechanic Falls, Minot, and Poland is proud to announce its RSU 16 Student of the Month recipient for December, Madisyn York. Madisyn, a sixth grader from Elm Street School, is described by school staff as a student who exemplifies the Optimist creed. She comes to school with a smile and genuine enthusiasm for learning every day. A welcoming friend to all, she finds the bright side of every situation and spreads cheer to everyone around her. Madisyn finds motivation in challenges and is a confident, positive role model.
