CUMBLERAND — Gray-New Gloucester overpowered Greely for the first time at the Rangers’ gym since February 2003 with a 57-36 victory in a boys basketball game Tuesday night.

Nathaniel Hebert knocked down five 3-pointers on his way to a game-high 25 points for the Patriots (3-2). Teammate Noah Hebert added 13 points to help Gray-New Gloucester’s cause.

Ethan Michaud and Ethan MacArthur scored 12 and 10 points, respectively, for the Rangers (1-3).

CHEVERUS 53, EDWARD LITTLE 49: The Stags pulled off a comeback with help from Leo McNabb’s 17 points as they stunned the Red Eddies in Portland.

Silvano Ismail scored 16 points and Gio St. Onge helped out with 12 for Cheverus (4-2).

Eli St. Laurent leads all scorers with 29 points on 12-for-17 shooting for Edward Little (2-4), which led 24-21 at halftime and 35-34 heading into the fourth quarter.

GREELY 58, GRAY-NEW GLOUCESTER 48: Sophia Ippolito scored 19 points to lead the Rangers (2-2) over the Patriots (3-1) in Cumberland.

Grier Wright scored 17 points for Greely and Asja Kelman added 10.

Amber Fortin led Gray-New Gloucester with 14 points and Isabelle Morelli added 11.

SPRUCE MOUNTAIN 71, DIRIGO 27: Olivia Mastine sank four 3-pointers and scored the game-high 20 points as the Phoenix rolled to a victory over the Cougars in Jay.

Jaydn Pingree tossed in 17 points and Aubrey Kachnovich added 12 for Spruce Mountain (5-0).

The Cougars’ (2-2) Jayce Brophy scored 16 points.
