NORTH ANSON — Charlie Houghton scored 22 points as Dirigo held on to defeat Carrabec with 65-63 victory over Carrabec to stay undefeated in a boys basketball game on Tuesday.

The Cougars (11-0) were trailing by 13 points in the fourth quarter before they rallied and pulled out the victory.

Arick Richard scored 12 points for Dirigo, while teammate Nathaniel Wainwright added 11.

Luke Carey had 22 points for Carrabec (3-6), which led at halftime, 25-24. Joel Gerhke had 17 points and Kolby Carpenter 12 for the Cobras.

GRAY-NEW GLOUCESTER 62, MT. ARARAT 43: Nate Hebert knocked down five 3-pointers and scored a game-high 19 points in the Patriots’ (9-2) victory over the Eagles (5-6) in Gray.

Maxwell Kenney contributed 12 points to Gray-NG’s cause.

Parker Bate and Ryan Staples each scored nine points for Mt. Ararat.

WINTHROP 54, NYA 42: Cole Bard and Carter Rivers scored 13 points apiece as the Ramblers (6-6) evened their record with the win at Winthrop.

Matt Beck and Braden Branagan chipped in with nine points apiece for Winthrop.

Jack Byrne led NYA (4-7) with 10 points.

DEERING 46, LEWISTON 31: Maya Gayle and Nyabhana Lia each scored 15 points to lift the Rams (2-9) over the Blue Devils (2-9) in Portland.

Koral Morin scored 23 points for Lewiston.

NYA 79, WINTHROP 31: Grace Bila scored 18 points and Angel Huntsman 17 as the Panthers (11-0) won easily at Yarmouth.

Sarah English added 10 points for NYA, which led 37-14 at halftime.

Morgan Fichthorn scored 15 points for Winthrop (8-3).

MOUNTAIN VALLEY 35, MT. ABRAM 32, OT: Brooke Bennett scored nine points, had six steals and four rebounds to lead the Falcons (5-5) past the Roadrunners (4-6) in overtime in Salem Township.

Madi Dow was strong off the boards, pulling down 14 rebounds and collecting three steals. Layce Boucher had six steals for Mountain Valley.

Josey Arms and Kharlie Turner each scored eight points for Mt. Abram.

MT. ARARAT 41, GRAY-NEW GLOUCESTER 26: Freshman Kayleigh Wagg had 15 points and 10 rebounds as the Eagles (9-2) prevailed at Gray.

Cali Pomerleau chipped in with eight points and five steals for Mt. Ararat.

Izzy Morello led Gray-New Gloucester (9-2) with eight points.
