Starting in February, the Lewiston Public Library Children’s Department plans to offer after-school activities from 4-5 p.m. every Thursday afternoon at 200 Lisbon St.
Activities will vary weekly and encourage children to express themselves through creative projects and STEAM-based activities, while promoting social and emotional learning, according to a news release from Sarah Hartje at the library.
All sessions will take place in the children’s programming room.
The first activity will take place Feb. 2, when children will create a beaded bracelet. This activity is recommended for children 6 to 13 because they will be working with small pieces.
The programs are free, and there is no registration required.
