AUBURN — Lina B. Verville, born March 11, 1927, died on Feb. 10, 2023.
Born in Lewiston she was the second child of Omer and Exilia (Vallerand) Beaulieu. She graduated from Lewiston High School in 1944. Early in her working career she was a payroll clerk.
Lina married Norm Verville in 1948. They had four children who each enjoyed a happy childhood in Auburn. Lina and Norm were active in church and charity organizations and in later years they enjoyed travel and golf together. Both avid readers, they were frequent flyers at the Auburn Public Library.
Ever creative, Lina was a dab hand at sewing, knitting, and painting. She relished crafting, golfing, and playing bridge with friends. Lina was a devoted mother and homemaker. As her children grew, Lina rejoined the workforce where she experienced success as a realtor for several years.
Lina was predeceased by her parents, her husband Norm, brother Claude, sisters Lizette and Dottie, and granddaughter Sophie. She is survived by her children: Tom Verville, Ann Hobart and husband Bruce, Sue Newman and partner Dan, and Mary Woodfin and husband Paul; her grandchildren Jesse, April, Colby, Ryland, Adam, and Paige; and seven great grandchildren.
