MEXICO — The Oxford Federal Credit Union (OFCU) Board of Directors recently announced that Joann Bisson will succeed Matt Kaubris as the next President & CEO of OFCU. The board has been preparing for the retirement of long-time President & CEO Kaubris since he informed them of his intention to retire in 2023. The Executive VP role that Bisson has held for the past year was created as part of a succession plan to prepare the organization for new leadership.
Joann Bisson joined OFCU in January of 2022, bringing 20+ years of experience in the financial services industry and eight years serving as CEO at her former credit union. Board members found alignment with Bisson and OFCU’s commitment to members and employees. “Joann has embraced the culture and fully supports our mission to support financial wellness in our communities,” shared board chairman, David LeClerc.
Bisson transitioned to her new role on February 1, 2023, and Kaubris will provide support and guidance in an advisory capacity through his retirement date. “I am honored to represent Oxford Federal Credit Union as its next President and CEO,” said Bisson. “This year we will celebrate 85 years as stewards of our members’ trust and finances, and we’ll continue to focus on service and soundness for many more.”
