Anita I. Poliquin

AUBURN – Anita Poliquin 87, of Auburn, was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, friend. She passed away on Thursday Feb, 23, 2023, surrounded by her loving family. Anita was born in Lewiston on Dec. 16, 1935.

She is survived by her husband, Charlie Poliquin of Auburn; daughter, Wanda Gibbs, husband Keith. She had one son, deceased, Brian Nuzzo. Anita has many grandkids, great-grandkids, great-great-grandkids.

Anita worked at Dori Shoe in Lewiston for many years and retired there. She also met Charlie, which they became best friends, got married. Trueloves from the start, and never left each other’s side. Soul mates for sure. Anita and Charlie enjoyed playing cribbage, watching the Red Sox games, and Sudoku every morning when the newspaper arrived. Anita was known for making her famous spaghetti sauce over the years.

Anita lived a dedicated life as a one of Jehovah’s Witnesses alongside Charlie, which brought so much love and joy to their life due to their faith they shared together.

Anita will be greatly missed and loved by her family and friends. Love you, my Dear Friend.

A memorial service will be celebrated on Sunday March 5 at 2 p.m. at Kingdom Hall, 2256 Hotel Rd., Auburn ME 04210
