I don’t feel that we are really civilized here in the United States.
There’s not enough low income and subsidized housing. Medical care and four-year college should be free to give people equal opportunity to have a good life, free of crushing bills.
The same goes for drugs and insurances. All of the items above could be paid with our taxes instead of war planes, etc.
We need more people in politics — like former President Jimmy Carter — who really care about people instead of making billions of profit for themselves.
I’m encouraged by people I read about every day who do small acts of kindness, and people who can do more are very generous.
I pray that we will be inspired to work together for a better future for our children and grandchildren.
