NORWAY — On Sunday, April 2, the 11 a.m. service will focus on immigration and Maine. The speaker will be Jane Makela. Jane is a lawyer, whose legal work is now entirely pro bono, advising nonprofits and helping asylum-seekers and other immigrants.
She also serves on the Steering Committee of the Maine Unitarian Universalist State Advocacy Network, advocating for legislation that recognizes the worth and dignity of New Mainers and gives them a chance to become productive and valued members of businesses and communities in our state.
All members of the public are welcome at the service and at the coffee hour following it.
