To the Editor:
After staying past the original December 30 retirement date in order to have Department personnel hired and in place, I am retiring on April 7. I have been honored and have enjoyed serving the citizens of the Town of Norway for the past 26 years.
I want to thank all the people I have worked with over the years for their support: Select Board Members, Town Managers, fellow employees, and all the contractors, organizations, businesses, and individuals who donated funds and/or materials to keep programs going, facilities maintained and improved and special events growing for all Norway citizens and visitors to use and enjoy! And it has been a joy to meet all the participants and their families and share in their lives and successes!
I am pleased to introduce you to my replacements, Deven Pendexter, director of Parks, Recreation & Cemeteries, dpendexter@norwaymaine.com, and Angie Paine, Recreation Program Coordinator, apaine@norwaymaine.com. In my retirement, I will see you around the area as a fellow participant in a variety of programs and events.
