PARIS — Join U.S. Fish & Wildlife Service Biologist Hannah Mullally in Paris on April 19 from 4-5 p.m. for a presentation about supporting Maine’s native pollinators! We will learn about trees for bees, choosy butterflies, and helpful hoverflies. Hannah will discuss the breadth of Maine’s native pollinators, their importance in our ecosystem and food supply, and how you can support these small but mighty creatures. We will especially focus on utilizing native plants in creating pollinator habitats.
After gaining inspiration for our gardens, attendees may choose to pick up order forms for the Oxford County Soil & Water Conservation District Native Plant & Seed Sale. All proceeds go towards supporting our programs! This event is free, but participants are asked to please register by visiting our website at oxfordcountyswcd.org/workshops. We will gather in the meeting space of the Oxford County Cooperative Extension, located at 9 Olson Road in Paris. Please register no later than Tuesday, April 18.
